Not all CoQ10 is Created Equal

If you want to make sure you get all the benefits from a daily supplement of CoQ10 you may want to choose the Original CoQ10 used in the major scientific studies.

All Coenzyme Q10 products are not equally well absorbed and bio-available. Formulations differ from company to company, and so too does the quality of the products. There are hundreds of un-original CoQ10 products in the market with little or no quality documentation, but still claiming and referring to the scientific studies and benefits of the Original CoQ10. But there is only 1 original CoQ10, the patented one. That is Bio-Quinone.

Some may think that money is saved by buying an un-original product, but you probably already know that the lowest price is not always the best buy.

Is it possible that the production of an UN-original CoQ10 product may have accidentally hit the right mixture and temperature of oils? Not very likely, since the golden window of melting point of oils during the production is patented.

The precision of the production of the original CoQ10 actually meets the standard of API, which is the standard required for production of prescription medicine (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient).

At this time there is no other CoQ10 dietary supplement in the world that meets this standard. In fact, this is the exact reason why scientists continously choose this product for new studies, because they can rely on the same result every single time.

Beware of the copy-cats

For some time now, we have noticed that the Life Extension company in the USA has been promoting its own products with references to the KiSel-10 Study on their web-site and Facebook page. On Facebook especially, the KiSel-10 Study is presented as though it was conducted with their own Coenzyme Q10 and selenium.

The specific Pharma Nord products used in the study are not mentioned,  though the KiSel-10 Study researchers have explicitly explained in their report¹ that they used “a patented selenium yeast, SelenoPrecise®, of a pharmaceutical quality … (with) … a documented batch-to-batch stability in its composition of selenium species” and that they used Bio-Quinone Q10 precisely because it has “shown good absorption and efficacy in previous controlled trials.”

A second US company, the Doctor’s Best company, has gone one step further and has attempted to imitate the KiSel-10 Study preparations in a combined CoQ10 Plus Selenium Yeast product. The Doctor’s Best website also uses the KiSel-10 Study in the description of their  product; however, without ever revealing that Pharma Nord preparations were used in the study.

We are, of course, flattered that our competitors are marketing their own products using the results from a study done with our products, which must be the highest grade of recognition.

But, somehow, doesn’t it seem a bit misleading to use results from clinical trials that were done with products with a different formulation and quality level?
 

Why Are Absorption and Bio-Availability Important?

All Coenzyme Q10 and all selenium products are not equally well absorbed and bio-available. This is simply not the case. Formulations differ from company to company, and so too does the quality of the products.

One could ask if all the other products being associated with the studies have actually been tested and documented in the same way?
